Your 7-Day Mantra Sādhana
Bookmark this page — it is yours to keep, forever. Begin today, and keep the same hour each day. Consistency matters more than length; five honest minutes outweigh an hour of distraction.
All seven days are unlocked below. No email link or code is required.
Day 1
Grounding the storm
ॐ नमः शिवाय — Om Namaḥ Śivāya
108 repetitions, morning
Sit with your spine easy and both feet on the floor. Chant slowly, letting each repetition land in the belly, not the head. Anxiety is energy without a home — this mantra gives it one.
Day 2
Releasing fear
ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे — Mahā Mṛtyuñjaya
27 repetitions, morning and night
Beneath every anxiety is a fear of loss. Chant this as a prayer for protection — not only for yourself, but for one person you love. Fear shared with the Divine grows lighter.
Day 3
Clearing obstacles
ॐ गं गणपतये नमः — Om Gaṁ Gaṇapataye Namaḥ
108 repetitions
Before chanting, write down the one thing you keep avoiding. Chant, then take the smallest possible step toward it. Gaṇeśa does not remove the mountain; he steadies your feet.
Day 4
Steadying the breath
सोऽहम् — So'ham (I am That)
10 minutes, silent with the breath
Inhale 'So', exhale 'ham', making the exhale twice as long as the inhale. A slow exhale may help ease anxious energy. This is the heart of Day 4's practice.
Day 5
Sevā — the day of service
ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः — Sarve bhavantu sukhinaḥ
Chant 11 times, then serve
Do one quiet act of service today — a call to an elder, a meal given, a bill paid for someone struggling. Tell no one. A mind turned outward stops circling itself — a traditional practice the Vedas offer for easing anxious thought.
Day 6
Mauna — the day of silence
Your mantra, held inwardly
30 minutes of chosen silence
No phone, no speech, no music. Sit, walk, or wash dishes in silence, holding the mantra inside. Silence is not emptiness — it is the room where the Divine speaks.
Day 7
Gratitude and sankalpa
ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः — Gāyatrī Mantra
108 repetitions at sunrise
Name three things you are grateful for, then make one vow you can actually keep for the next month — five minutes of chanting a day is enough. A small vow kept supports the spirit more than a great vow broken.
॥ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
May your mind grow quiet, your heart grow wide, and your days grow steady.
